Maybe this blog post isn't academic. Today I will introduce one of the my favorite rappers. What do you think of rappers? I think maybe everyone has bad images for rappers. For example, ”They have no class” , "They look like a fool." etc... Certainly their looks are scary. Their fashion makes them look like gang members and some people put on tattoos. However, I don't have those images. Because rappers are just musicians. They write good lyrics and make good tracks. They are the same as rock musicians and pop singers.
This is ANARCHY. ANARCHY means "lawlessness". He was born in 1981 in Fushimi, Kyoto. As you can see, he has a full body tattoo, However his songs include a human touch. He was a leader of motorcycle gang when he was 16 years old and he was put in a juvenile training school when he was 18 years old. He was impressed by a rapper who appeared on TV in the juvenile training school. Then he start to write his own lyrics.
His lyrics are born from his sad upbringings. Sometimes he uses dirty words, but his lyrics never tell a lie. I think this is his unique point. Many musicians sing fictional lyric, but he sing about real his life. I like his attitude towards lyric writing.
